Kii SEVEN Streaming Firmware Update

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to update your Kii SEVEN speakers to the latest firmware, enabling streaming via Spotify Connect, 

Tidal Connect & Qobuz Connect and to provision them wirelessly using the Kii Home App.

If you have received your Kii SEVENs before August 2025 chances are high, that your speakers will need a remote firmware update first in order to use Connect services and stream music via WIFI. 

If your Kii SEVENs have a serial number (mac address) of  88:a6:ef:90:10:XX  or higher, they will already be streaming enabled.

The firmware upgrade can be done in 4 easy steps!

Here is what you need to have your Kii SEVENs updated remotely by the Kii team:

1. A CAT5e/6 Ethernet cable

2. Access to your home router (e.g., FritzBox, TP Link, Unify)

3. Two available RJ45 LAN ports on your router

Here is how it´s done:

STEP 1. - Record Serial Number / MAC Address of both speakers.

Locate the sticker on the bottom panel of each speaker and note the serial number/MAC address (format: 88:A6:EF:XX:XX:XX).

STEP 2. - Power On

• Connect each speaker to mains power and ensure it is switched on.

STEP 3. - Connect Ethernet Cable

• Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port labeled Network on the right side of the speaker, and the other end into an available LAN port on your router. The port's LED should blink green when the network link is active.

​ ​ ​ ​Warning: Do not confuse the "Kiilink" ports with the LAN ports, and avoid daisy chaining LAN connections.

STEP 4. - Open a Support Ticket

• Visit: https://www.support.kiiaudio.com/ticket

• Subject: K7 Streaming Update

• Include both speakers' MAC addresses/serial numbers in the ticket description.

The last step is done by the Kii Audio Service Team for you: ​ ​the ​Remote Update Deployment

• Our support team will verify your speakers are online and initiate the firmware deployment.

• Leave your speakers powered on and connected until you receive confirmation that your update was successful via EMAIL.

Once the update completes, your Kii SEVEN speakers will be ready for wireless provisioning through the Kii Home App.

All future firmware updates can easily be done over WIFI.
